Group think, it's not just for the masses anymore....oh sorry that's right, that is exactly what it is for the masses.
By Superkommissar Maksim
I wanted to commemorate “Obama’s First 100 Days” because the media has completely overlooked this event, however all that came to mind was Flesh Eating Zombies and the end of the world as we know it. So, with inspiration from the film 28 Days Later…

Has it only been a 100 days because it feels like it's been a lifetime already. In fact by the unprecedented spending in the last 100 days, it feels like it has been several generations of lifetimes. President Barack H Obama stated yesterday at a Missouri Town Hall meeting, “let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act." Keep Reading Here. Oh how about that 100 Million Dollar budget cut, the President told his administration, that he wanted these cuts, and that there would be no sacred COWS. Those Cows again, have a look at what that means for THE HERD.
For some reason the President of the United States thinks everything is about him? The way the mainstream media treats him, I can see why he might get this impression.
What is it with Americans, that we won't read something unless it is printed on a T-Shirt?
What exactly did Barack H Obama promises us?

We're in a trader's market not investor market. InvestmentWatch,

“I think the real-money investors are still watching because I don’t think the fundamentals are in place yet where the people feel like they can do good fundamental homework,” Niederauer said. “So the feeling I’ve got talking to a lot of investors is they’re still watching and waiting.”
Niederauer called the current rally “too much, too soon,” and said investor confidence remains fragile.
“There’s no doubt that a lot of the … equity investing attitudes have been damaged and I think it remains to be seen whether that damage is irreparable,” he said. “They’re certainly not just going to come running back.” Keep Reading Here. Click on the photo of Queen Nancy, read about Going Galt.
This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed at home.
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy cried "Wee! Wee! Wee!" all the way home.
This reminds me of the Canadian band, The Guess Who classic "American Woman" the long version, where Burton Cummings sings "Whatchew gonna do, mama, now that the roast beef's gone?" taking a parting shot at Randy Bachman who was leaving the band.

Herd mentality is all about trends. Herd mentality describes how people are influenced by their peers to adopt certain behaviors, follow trends, and/or purchase items. Examples of the herd mentality include the early adopters of high technology products such as cell phones and iPods, as well as stock market trends, fashions in apparel, cars, home décor, etc. Social psychologists study the related topics of group intelligence, crowd wisdom, and decentralized decision making. Source wikipedia
To put my analogy in context, Peasant Mentality- Mad Cows vs Herd Mentality -Happy Cows. I am pretty sure, I don't belong with the Happy Cows. By invoking the term Peasant Mentality to describe Tax Day Tea Party Goers, it allows the group of protesters to be dismissed. If they were informed or intelligent, they would be exhibiting class envy, toward the ruling class, thus they must belong to ill informed underclass but they were actually something worse to Progressives, they were the bourgeois- middle class. Watch How Obama Got Elected who was really informed, and paying attention during the last Presidential Election, and who were following the trends or exhibiting herd mentality? Listen to the very last person's remark at the end of How Obama Got Elected. Marketers who gave us "Happy Cows Come From California" also gave us " Yes We Can" & "Hope & Change" They kept it as simple as they could so the herd could be driven - to the polls. Where does herd mentality come from? It appears to be one of those government, cradle to grave programs read more here.
UPDATE: Apparently the Liberal Media doesn't care for this practice being pointed out to the public at large, read more about Group Think here.

There is an old story, if you put a frog, in a pot of cold water. Slowly turn the heat up, the frog doesn't jump because it gets acclimated slowly to the temperature of the water slowly rising, and eventually is boiled to death.
Wikipedia keep reading here.
The story is generally told in a figurative context, with the upshot being that people should make themselves aware of gradual change lest they suffer a catastrophic loss. Often it is used to illustrate a slippery-slope argument. For example, many civil libertarians argue that even minor increases in government authority, which may seem less noteworthy, make future increases in that authority more likely: what would once have seemed a huge power grab, the argument goes, now becomes seen as just another incremental increase, and thus appears more palatable. In the boiling-frog allegory, the frog represents the citizenry, whilst the gradual heating of the water represents the incremental encroachment of government. Others have used it as an analogy with the growth of the offshore-world over decades, and how ordinary citizens have accepted the presence of abusive tax havens.
The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi: I knew nothing. In response to the use of waterboarding. So the speaker of the house doesn't know how to use Google? That's what I like to hear from the ranking member of the House, that she's clueless, and was left in the dark. Is this Torture?
There was a lot of tortured reasoning being applied to the Tax Day Tea Partys, "1" by a "24" television cast member. Not to be outdone Sheppard Smith of another Fox affiliate, drops the F Bomb on torture here.
When did the C.I.A.'s enhanced interrogation techniques become torture? The NYT reports in their article headline Banned Techniques. Where is the torture folks, where is waterboarding defined legally by the government as torture? A better question, is our National Security being politicized? If waterboarding can be turned into torture, (See Straw Man) show trials can go forward, now that is backwards looking, and counter productive. See bureaucrats torturing citizenry above.
What about DHS secretary Janet Napolitano's tortured logic? No more use of the word terrorism to describe well terrorism. Terrorism is now to be referred to as "man made disasters" and a DHS memo, recently put returning American Military Veterans on a list of possible terrorist. The latest Napolitano logic was really significant, the Canadian border is just as dangerous as the Mexican border. Napolitano sites, the 9/11 terrorist coming into the country from Canada (No as a matter of fact they didn't). Janet Napolitano is comparing the Mexican border, with on going drug cartel violence, that has spread across the border into our own country, to the Canadian border. Finally someone is paying attention, to the threat from the north. Does this mean that our government is going to start torturing Canada Ay?
This past week GE tortured it's shareholders, the only reason we know about it, is because a rival network of GE's corporate owned MSNBC, reported on the incident.
There is the President's latest summit meeting in Trinidad, Tobago, how does one top bowing to the Saudi King at the G20? Hug dictators in Latin America, yeah that was torturous to witness.
Torture is a relative concept, people have been discussing this issue: How Americans felt about our government using torture on our enemies. I have not been able to find a discussion, of how Americans feel about their government torturing them. The only sign I have found that Americans are aware of this daily onslaught of torture, can be found here.
UPDATE: Obama not so keen on Torture Investigations.

I vote for Reece the puppy who accidentally froze his balls to a Canadian sidewalk.
Chris has acted on lots of TV shows, but they were Canadian TV shows so you probably haven’t heard of them. He was nominated for Canada’s version of the Emmy. It’s called the Gemini, but you probably haven’t heard of that either. He’s also been published in national magazines. The magazines are well-known, but people usually throw magazines in the garbage, or forget them on the bus. Chris currently lives in Los Angeles where he performs his work at many theaters. He is creator, writer, and anchor of the weekly internet show Cute with Chris.

Imus suggest that they try flying the clue flag this morning, and see if Mike can salute it.
Mike Lupica finds out that indeed Charles McCord does know what tea bagging means, and that he is more worldly than himself.
Imus has a problem with President Obama's recent international tour, where he points out our flaws, on his Dixie Chicks tour but none of our accomplishments. Imus sites Michael Goodwins's article in the New York Daily News. You can read "If President Obama Won't Defend The U.S. Who Will". Mike doesn't agree with Imus, he thinks that President Obama shouldn't have to place his criticism of our country into context. Imus insist, on this the Presidents first international tour, he should put the criticism in context, and point out all that America has accomplished, and contributed to the international community. Mike Lupica's article from the New York Daily News, "Cut The Dumb Analysis Of Obama: Old Ways Of Dealing With Foes Don't Make Sense"
Imus reads this from Michael Goodwins article:
There is nothing inaccurate with those sentiments. But Obama didn't put them in any context. By acknowledging our flaws and skipping our many grand achievements, he fed the sense we are only the sum of our failures.
He could have said America has done more to advance freedom around the world than any nation in history. That our soldiers who died fighting tyranny are buried on battlefields across the globe. That our charity is unique. That we have an immigration problem because the world wants to live here. And that without us, man's lot would be much, much "darker."

Imus and Howard, discuss Eliot Spitzer trying to rehab his image and pay for his highly publicized sexual sins. Imus and Howard critique, the Fox Business Channel, which Imus doesn't watch for business information apparently. Howard tries to be as objective as he knows how about the Tax Day Tea Party coverage. There is a poll posted at the Tea Party Website above, about CNN's coverage of the event.
Imus explains to Howard exactly why people were protesting. The fact is this is an extraordinary amount of money being wasted. Not at all what his friend Paul Begala stated, people were protesting paying their taxes. This is why I listen, and watch Imus in the Morning, and not CNN, MSNBC or FOX in the morning.
Imus explains to Howard, that there is more to be outraged about now, about money being wasted than during the Bush administration. Howard brings up, that this bailing out of the banks started at the end of the Bush administration. Imus asks Howard, do you have a card that says, member of communist party?
It took Howard awhile but by the end of the Interview, Imus had him admitting that Howard knows exactly what the Tax Day Tea Partys were about.
I can tell Howard Kurtz, what one of the major angst was on April 15th. People don't TRUST their Government, that won't read bills before voting for them. They don't TRUST the mainstream media, who belittled them and derided their legitimate right to peaceful assembly and protest. If this current administration, and the mainstream media takes nothing else away from the Tea Partys, let them take this one theme "TRUST" the public atttending these Tea Partys, don't TRUST their Government or the MSM to represent them, and deal with them fairly. The Fourth Estate just disappeared? The Government has gone completely tone deaf, no wonder President Barack H Obama said, he knew nothing about the Tea Partys. He isn't listening to "We The People"

Hey Kinky, I'm An Independent Living In Texas.
I do hope Kinky gets the Democratic Ticket.
The Media is a form of Artificial Life, it has Performers - Artist. This past week Americans all over this country, celebrated and exercised, their right to peacefully assemble. Their 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech, and Freedom of Expression. I witnessed some very creative expressions first hand. Tea Partys numbering over 800, sprung up in response to Irresponsible Spending and Bail Outs of Private Industry by our Government with tax payer's money. Our Government aka We The People.
The mainstream media has been programed - conditioned to respond to anything that it's liberal bias feels is a threat by belittling and dismissing. Their target this past week, Americans who don't hold the same Political Ideology or Political Agenda. I have read that the mainstream media is a mirror held up to our society but this couldn't be further from the truth. The mainstream media has turned into a circus with performers. The response to Americans protesting their Governments wasteful spending was met with derision and contempt. Here is a person who apparently works for CNN, that felt the need to harass Americans for their "Audacity" of actually participating in a protest a peaceful assembly. I don't know why this person felt the need to derided fellow Americans, except they didn't agree with this person's political ideology Here & Here. The mainstream media doesn't pretend to be objective anymore.
They are not holding up a mirror to American Society. They are behaving like many people have come to know online as "Trolls" there is some kind of morphing going on today in Old Media. I can only guess that networks like CNN and MSNBC feel that if they bait and flame (sensationalize the news) they will attract Viewers. Are they actively trying to build a Troll Base is that an under served demographic? Do trolls have a lot of expendable income? Networks need people to tune into their channels because they need ratings to stay in business. These networks operate because sponsors buy advertising -commercials to sell their products. Here is the ironic part, the same people these networks are deriding and dismissing, are the ones with jobs and money, who would buy their sponsor's products. It seems self defeating, with the current economy presently in a downturn are these network news producers, trying to put themselves out of business by actively alienating a potential viewing public? ( The only program I watch on CNN is Lou Dobbs). Tax Day, Tea Party coverage was a boon for one network - Fox News. Fox News, didn't cover average Americans as if their grievances were not worthy of anyone's attention. Fox News was rewarded with ratings "Fox Rocks Ratings Surge" Why isn't the mainstream media following the lead of Fox News?
If the mainstream media isn't mirroring society, what is it mirroring? As far as I can tell it is reacting to the Internet in a clumsy way trying to morph, adapt (imitate) New Media. There is an old saying, Life Imitates Art. In this case Artificial Life - the mainstream media, is imitating some of the worst by products of New Media "Trolling". Do any of these networks, who have mocked average every day Americans aka (consumers) have any marketers employed to advise them of the risk of alienating potential audiences? Do they believe their coverage will be received positively by the present Administration so they will gain some influence, resulting in access to the present Administration? (They All Had a Chance This Past Week To Have Access To This Government We The People Are The Government) There is another old saying "you attract more bees with honey then you do vinegar". Hopefully the President of the United States of America, does not condone the treatment of his people by a jaded out of touch media, that appears to be bankrupt, and out of original ideas. When Barack H Obama won the election he stated, he was everyone's President, that includes dissenters remember Dissent is Patriotic. The mainstream media could take some cues from this high profile blogger it appears that new media has figured out how to remove the middle man. Here are a couple of websites that keep track of media trends and personalities, Chickaboomer & Inside Cable News 2.0. If you believe that sometimes life immitates art, it appears artificial life also immitates.
The Week In Review Imus In The Morning there were two especially upbeat interviews this week one with Sally Quinn and her son Quinn Bradley about Quinn Bradley's new book. My Impression of the Mainstream Media's Coverage of Tax Day, Tea Partys held across the country this past week. Predictable, Preconditioned, Conforming & Devoid of Objectivity. They reminded me of ZOMBIES.

Fox News Has Live Stream For the Tax Day Tea Partys HERE.
UPDATE: EVENT OVER
View 2009 Tea Parties in a larger map
This morning, on Imus In The Morning, guests include Paul Begala, Spinning Tax Day Tea Partys, like a Whirling Dervish. I guess the Democrats don't think Dissent Is Patriotic anymore. Neil Cavuto, phoned in from Sacramento this morning, he is covering the Tax Day Tea Partys from California. Imus In The Morning, went back on the air locally -in Sacramento. I don't see Imus up on the 650 KSTE radio website? Imus in the Morning came back on air this morning on RFD TV. Why is RFD TV shooting Imus from the ceiling? Is that the safest vantage point? I watched the top of Imus's head for the better part of this morning. Charles McCord was back on air this morning, he was missing yesterday. Imus said, that he had to respond to jury duty. I think it was a temporary restraining order. GRIN. Lee Woodruff, was also a guest this morning, discussing her new book, Perfectly Imperfect, you can check out the book, and more at Lee Woodruff's Blog Here.
Michelle Malkin will also be in Sacramento today. Are you Tea'd Off?

AP/ Yahoo News April 14th,2009 Choong said pirate attacks this year had risen to 78, with 19 of those ships hijacked and 17 vessels with over 300 crew still in pirates' hands. Each boat carries the potential of a million-dollar ransom. Keep Reading Here.

"Going Bush" is not a new phenomena it has happened in our own country's history. An Example, would be the reaction to the phenomena in colonial S.C., the formation of the South Carolina Regulators. They formed because the British Government couldn't address law and order on the American Frontier. When there is a vacuum, someone - groups, will step in to fill the void. This is happening in the North Western Territory of Pakistan, Pakistan which is said to have abdicated their authority to the Taliban. This is a much more serious situation, then teenage pirates off the coast of Somalia. (Somalia Pirates stated to be numbering 1,500.)
I wonder how the Pirate's age in custody could be verified? The truth is because of malnutrition in African Countries, the people will suffer from normal growth patterns (They might appear smaller so younger then they really are). I suppose a dentist could take a look at his wisdom teeth? To see if he is near the age he claims. In all likelihood he doesn't know his exact age himself - because of lack of records, kept at the civil level in Somalia, and other African countries it could be impossible to verify his age, and others involved in Piracy off the coast of Somalia. The Median Age of 17 (C.I.A. Fact Book) is a good indicator of the age of the majority of the population in the country.
UPDATE: The surviving pirate from this incident is now being reported on Fox News as 19 years of age, and the ring leader. 17 April 2009

Who is conditioning people to judge themselves and others so critically? Take a look at the standard held up in the Media, who put them in charge of your ID? Well you do whenever you buy into their slick marketing tricks. I promise they know what makes you tick. The sales pitch usually centers around making yourself and your habitat over or better. What's wrong with the way you are? People are like snowflakes unique, enjoy your uniqueness, hell celebrate it. It seems like as good a reason as any to have a party, and enjoy yourself and others company. Oh does that seem too self centered, and you are undeserving? Who told you that? What is your birthday for if it isn't to celebrate you maybe you don't deserve one of those either? Who makes the rules you live by? Who makes the standards you hold yourself up to? If the answer isn't in your mirror it is time for some inner reflection.
Its easy to know if you are one of the masses that feel poorly about yourself, and others around you.
Here are 10 tell tale signs.
1. Walking with your head down.
2. You don't make and/or sustain direct eye contact with others
3. You do not accept compliments well.
4. You apologize and feel guilty.
5. You get frustrated, impatient, or angry often.
6. You use negative, hopeless language.
7. You are depressed
8. You take things personally
9. You do not engage with others.
10. You do not take risks.
Low self-esteem can have devastating consequences. It can cause anxiety, problems with relationships, impair academic and/or job performance, and it can lead to increased vulnerability to drug and alcohol abuse. Think about what our society would be like if every one had just 50% more positive outlook of themselves, and the world around them. Everyone would be living consciously, responsibly, and with integrity. It would enormously change our society. I think a movement should be started where we all practice self nurturing and positive affirmations. Practice basic self care, eat well, get enough sleep, plan fun things in your life, go to a movie, reward yourself when you accomplish something (no matter how minute the accomplishment) example, I got all my housework done today. I'm going to treat myself out to dinner tonight. Don't be too critical of yourself, forgive yourself when you don't do all you hoped, and focus on what you did do. Help others around you. Give people hugs, tell people you love them, tell people "GOOD JOB" it goes a long way. Always give yourself positive affirmations. I did well today, I'm a smart person, I was nice to that elderly lady today. No matter how silly you have been programed - conditioned to believe. Positive self nurturing is one of the most important building blocks you have. Your subconscious will be reprogrammed into a healthy positive reflection of your inner light, and you will be the better for it. Not only mentally, but physically. The saying, You are what you eat, is just as significant for what your mind consumes. Positive & negative stimuli is being stored in your subconscious just like fast food gets stored in your fat cells, and shows up on your thighs.
Self Esteem is one of those things that needs daily watering, and care to thrive, and bloom. People think the grass is greener on the other side....but once you get to that other side....if you don't water the grass it will turn brown

I wonder what they'll think come Tuesday!
The $143 billion budget closes a $41 billion deficit through 2010 with tax increases, deep cuts in services and extensive borrowing.
Although California’s budget process is unusual and its fiscal problems outsized — the state’s deficit is larger than the expenditures of all but 10 other states — economists say this budget foreshadows the difficult choices that other state legislatures will soon face as the national economy worsens.
Most other states are only beginning to address their shortfalls. But with 40 states operating in the red, similar days of reckoning will soon be coming to state capitals from Florida to Arizona, state budget officials say.
“California is an example of what you will see” across the country, said Susan Urahn, the managing director of the Pew Center on the States and a budget expert. The size of budget deficits in other states will lead to similarly hard-fought debates on how to close the gaps, Ms. Urahn said. Keep Reading Here.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little.. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great; but when government takes all the reward away; no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that....
Thank You Our Guest Blogger Chris.

I am going to use Mother's Circus Animal Cookies as an example for No Bail Outs. Last October 2008, Mother's Circus Cookies, went out of business. I know, I know, it sent shock waves through the blogosphere.
San Fransisco Chronicle, Mother's Cookies abruptly shut down George Raine, Chronicle Staff Writer,Thursday, October 9, 2008
10-08) 17:21 PDT -- Mother's Cookies, an Oakland institution for 92 years, has been shuttered, its owner seeking bankruptcy protection for the company. The ending was abrupt: Workers for the company, which shifted its baking and distribution operations to plants in Ohio and Canada in 2006, told workers Friday that operations would cease and cookies would no longer be made as of Monday. The company cited rising prices for raw materials and fuel, and on Monday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. In related baking news it's Good Friday, time for some Hot Cross Buns. Rob Bartlett of Imus In The Morning, was blogging about how NOT to react to Imus's prostrate cancer diagnosis: I would like to offer the following 'Rules of Thumb' on how to engage and relate to the I-Man, during this challenge in his life: This Is -
No #4 - Don't send him anything through the mail.
He is a very powerful man. He can avail himself to any miracle cure extant on this physical plane of existence, so he does not need or want any of your stupid 'Good Luck' charms or religious paraphernalia; up to, but not excluding, Crosses, Crucifixes, Stars of David, Rabbit's Feet, or images of Jesus burnt into a tortilla, even if they were blessed by some Tibetan Holy Man. The I-Man is considered his own deity. He is God's Other Son. So keep your stupid necklaces and beads and trinkets to yourselves. Do NOT send him any effing Teddy Bears, Balloon Bouquets or Flowers. If you simply cannot go on with your own life without sending along some token of your support, appreciation and gratitude for his existence in the universe, make it a bottle of Vicodin. 100 mgs, in bottles of 500 only. And then never contact him again. Ever.
So we're not supposed to send him anything through the mail, Got It! I will just post it right here. Hot cross buns were eaten after sundown to break the Good Friday fast. In the Middle Ages, they were believed to have powers of protection and healing. People would hang a hot cross bun from the rafters of their homes for protection through the coming year. And if someone was sick, some of the dried bun would be ground into powder and mixed with water for the sick person to drink. Keep Reading Here.

Al Gore or Tom Cruise? Easy choice. Sorry Al.
It not you, it's not me. Well, yeah, it is you.
Next Earth Day pretend you care and turn off your damn lights.
Al Gore and Global Warming
I want to take this minute to thank you, for offering me an invitation to your Global Warming Alarmist Cult. I am going to have to sadly decline however. I am already too busy with the Scientology Cult. Tom Cruise sang You Lost That Loving Feeling, and I got sucked in.
Your information was very moving, but it baffles me that we small peons bka Homo Sapiens, could possibly kill the earth ( the earth and the rest of the solar system has been around about 4.55 billion years). Some perspective for the Global Baloney Alarmist, in comparison to the Earth, and all the Species, that have ever inhabited this planet - We are fleas to the earth. At best we are in a symbiotic relationship with mother nature, and that is being kind. One day the earth will just get fed up, and take a flea dip or shake us off, in the immortal words of George Carlin, May Peace Be Upon Him. That or we will have to wait 3-5 billion years for the Sun to go Supernova, and take us all out. The earth has its cycles: Cold, Warm, Cold, Warm, etc. Some of the most prolific dinosaurs became extinct because of these cycles. I do not think man kind will become extinct however. After all mother nature outfitted us nicely, we are the only mammals with the "Big Brain" with all the lovely reasoning skills that entails, not to mention opposable thumbs. I promise you before we can do any significant damage to the earth, we will be another experiment of nature, added to the ash heaps of time. I know you like to believe you are omnipotent, but the truth is you are as weak, fragile, and fallible as the rest of us. The only truth in life is we are born dying. (The inevitability of life here on earth, Death & Taxes) So instead of trying to dazzle us with your supposed brilliance or baffle us with your bullshit, why don't you take the time to save some poor starving child, in any number of places around the planet. It's so easy even a caveman could do it.
