God Speed "Nancy Armstrong"

I woke up this morning, around 4 o'clock to a terrible lightning storm. I waited to use my computer till the storm died down there was no more sleeping, we were under a tornado warning. My dog wanted in our master closet that's her routine during a storm. I turned on my computer a little while ago, I start streaming Imus In The Morning, my routine. American Citizens & Taxpayers, being used as Guinea Pigs?

Hamster Pictures, Images and Photos

You Can Read About Hawaii's Universal Health Care Plan, by Griff Jenkins on the Great American Blog, July 22nd 2009. I watched this when it aired on Hannity on Fox News. This Universal Health Care Coverage Experiment lasted all of 7 months it was costing way too much they pulled the plug. They only planned on covering 3,500. Then a whole bunch of people started jumping off their health care insurance to make themselves eligible.

Neil Cavuto "Goldman Sachs Just Bucking The Trends"

Imus's guest this morning on Imus in the Morning, Neil Cavuto. Neil compares the present administration to used car salesmen, they too like to rush a sale. In this case the administration is rushing a health care bill.

Neil thinks the present administration is giving used car salesmen a bad name.

Neil has read Matt Taibbi's article in RollingStone Magazine "The Great American Bubble Machine" but he doesn't agree with Mr Taibbi's conclusions.

"Neil doesn't buy this view that Goldman is the epicenter of evil.
Neil, Goldman never really wanted this rescue bill, and it couldn't return the money fast enough. But there is all kinds of strings to returning money......And as Bernie pointed out doing much better than it's brethren on Wall Street. It's somehow to be faulted for wanting to pay it's people in some cases a great deal of money. I think it's a very slippery slope when we start judging a firm or it's value of it's ethics on the amount of money it's making."

Really Neil, we can't judge a firm or company by their actions, and the results of their actions? That sounds like a bunch of Bull to me. What kind of stick would we use to measure them with ? They are a financial firm, if they are manipulating our government to make a profit for themselves with our tax payer money aka TARP. Basically Neil wants to know what are we bitching about? I mean it isn't like we have massive foreclosures and unemployment or anything......Goldman Sacks, could careless if Americans can clothe, house and feed themselves. They don't care if they turn their profit on our sweat equity - Tax payer dollars = TARP. Where is the level playing field, where is the fundamental fairness?

Neil continues, When others aren't doing well, and well there is some free fall going on, and a company might be Bucking that trend, or an organization might be Bucking that trend, or finding a way to make money, or lemons in what could be a real bad environment. Than do you fault that company, or do you praise that company? I am in the camp that says you praise them, and that's where he, and I fundamentally disagree.

Michelle Malkin "Culture Of Corruption"

Culture of Corruption Pictures, Images and Photos

Michelle Malkin's new book goes on sale July,27 2009.

Amazon.com
From the Back Cover
Praise for Culture of Corruption

"Culture of Corruption, by my good friend and intrepid reporter Michelle Malkin, reveals all the sordid details the Obama Administration would rather you not know--the sleaze, corruption, and self-dealing of the Chicago Machine that lets no `crisis' go to waste. A powerful and necessary indictment of what `hope and change' really means."
--Mark Levin, author of the New York Times bestsellers Liberty and Tyranny and Men in Black

"Dogged, fiercely independent, and with a brilliant eye for the telling detail, Michelle Malkin has now turned her formidable skills to the bright new dawn of the Obama era, and the ever widening gulf between the hopey-changey rhetoric and the murkier reality. Her riveting portrait of unsavory cronies parceling out the spoils of government is somewhat at odds with the impression you may have gained from the besotted Tiger Beat correspondents of the mainstream media. I will leave it to the reader to decide which view is more persuasive, but let's just say that, if more journalists were like Michelle Malkin, American newspapers might still have a future."

Matt Taibbi - Conspiracy Theorist?

the xfiles lone gunmen Pictures, Images and Photos
I suspect Matt Taibbi of being many things a
Smartass is at the top of the list but this charge of conspiracy theorist is pretty weak.

Matt Taibbi's recent article in RollingStone Magizine, "The Great American Bubble Machine" or how "Goldman Saxs/Suxs" take your pick.

In Rolling Stone Issue 1082-83, Matt Taibbi takes on "the Wall Street Bubble Mafia" — investment bank Goldman Sachs (click here to read the whole story). The piece has generated controversy, with Goldman Sachs firing back that Taibbi's piece is "an hysterical compilation of conspiracy theories" and a spokesman adding, "We reject the assertion that we are inflators of bubbles and profiteers in busts, and we are painfully conscious of the importance in being a force for good." Taibbi shot back: "Goldman has its alumni pushing its views from the pulpit of the U.S. Treasury, the NYSE, the World Bank, and numerous other important posts; it also has former players fronting major TV shows. They have the ear of the president if they want it." Here, now, are excerpts from Matt Taibbi's piece and video of Taibbi exploring the key issues. Keep Reading Here or Click On Graphic.

The Logic Junkie "Exhaustion Of The Obvious"

I was watching the Logic Junkie on You Tube, the "Exhaustion of the Obvious" discussing a cultural phenomena, that I myself have experienced personally. It appears I am not the only one but I don't hear this discussed many places. How is the present generation, and their children developing, compared to previous generations. Technology doesn't make you smarter. I don't know what the benefits are from the advances of technology in our present era of gadgetry - fine tuned, hand eye coordination? The dumbing down of America has surely reached pay dirt. I am not sure if all of the ingredients that go into our culture today have not created a perfect incubator. We have seen a rise in Autism. There are questions about the government mandated vaccines, and a failing public school system. In the old days, we might call what we are experiencing - kids playing dumb.....but I don't think a lot of them are playing. In the old days children used to go outside and play not today. People have too many safety concerns and rightly so. I wonder about the lack of freedom to explore, effects on children. There is something developmentally out of whack with many of our children today. Trying to even train, let alone teach them the most fundamental task is Exhausting. There is a sign post up ahead, can the technologically adept interpret what they are reading? If it isn't in texting form? We shouldn't be surprised when we find there are marketing campaigns behind our current cultural trends. There is no such thing as coincidences.

Example Eugenics is Evil. We fought in a world war against eugenicist. See: (HOLOCAUST) eugenicist who believed there was such a thing as a master race.
Desire to terminate inferior races grew out of book entitled “The Permission to Destroy Life Unworthy of Life” written by Alfred Ploetz and published in 1904. Ploetz argued that certain classes of humans were unworthy and should be terminated. Classes included homosexuals, mentally retarded and those who are “below the beasts.” Nazis later classified Jews as “sub-human”.
Why now, do we have to explain to people - educate them, that "Eugenics" is bad. What is there to figure out? Eugenics is Evil. That is obvious, and it is exhausting to keep having to explain it to a generation coming up that doesn't get that Margaret Sanger was a racist eugenicist, So why would someone like Hillary Clinton state she admired her? Why would anyone support such a practice? Why would someone who sits on the highest court in the land Justice Ginsburg, support such a practice? I still don't understand what population control has to do with the Supreme Court? The Supreme Court decides laws based on the U.S. Constitution. Where is population control located in our founding documents? Of course there are Americans that can't name all three branches of the U.S. Government, let alone tell you what duty they have to us the American people. First we would need every state to require passing a civics class to graduate. That is not currently the state of our public education system. I don't think politicians want an educated electorate. This all seems "obvious" to me, and it gets tiresome to keep explaining the same thing over, and over again. The same people who have internet access to technology, are the same people who are ignorant of the most fundamental basics of how our government works. I do understand - it is obvious to me, why more and more people are home schooling and sending their children to private school.

The Newlands "This Ain't Hell But You Can See It From Here"

The Newlands of East Finely,Washington Co.,Pennsylvania.

After their disastrous defeat at the Battle of Chickamauga, the 40,000 men of the Union Army of the Cumberland under Maj. Gen. William Rosecrans retreated to Chattanooga. Confederate General Braxton Bragg's Army of Tennessee besieged the city, threatening to starve the Union forces into surrender. Bragg's troops established themselves on Missionary Ridge and Lookout Mountain, both of which had excellent views of the city, the Tennessee River flowing through the city, and the Union's supply lines. The only supply line that was not controlled by the Confederates was a roundabout, tortuous course nearly 60 miles long over Walden's Ridge from Bridgeport, Alabama. Heavy rains began to fall in late September, washing away long stretches of the mountain roads. On October 1, Maj. Gen. Joseph Wheeler's Confederate cavalry intercepted and severely damaged a train of 800 wagons—burning hundreds of the wagons, and shooting or sabering hundreds of mules—at the start of his October 1863 Raid through Tennessee to sever Rosecrans's supply line. Toward the end of October, Federal soldiers' rations were "four cakes of hard bread and a quarter pound of pork" every three days. KEEP READING HERE.

Isaac Newland III & his younger brother Thomas S Newland enlisted in the Union Army, Chili, Illinois, 14 Aug 1862. Company D of The 78th Regiment History. My Great Grandmother the eldest child of Isaac Newland and Elmira Ann Sullivan was an infant at the time when her mother dies early, she will raise the rest of her siblings.

Isaac Newland III's mother Besty (Ross) Newland said to be of Cherokee descent, was the daughter of Daniel Ross and Katherine McNeal. I have all kinds of (Mc) in my family ancestry. Daniel Ross and family were living in a hollowed out tree stump which they roofed, in Washington Co.,Pennsylvania. Daniel & Kathrine Ross, had Alexander Ross, in Lafayette's escort from Wheeling to Pittsburg. William, John, Daniel, Betsy, Phebe and Grizzella Ross. Daniel Ross Sr., was murdered and thrown in the river. Isaac Newland III's paternal Grand father Isaac Newland Sr., married Mollie Allen who was born at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Isaac and Thomas's eldest brother Daniel Ross Newland, born 1832-1865 died in the Civil War, he left a widow and 3 orphans.

The Newlands didn't have an easy life but it looks like that is the way they preferred it. There is a message somewhere in their story. People today are trained to take the easiest path, not the best path, not the most rewarding, just the paths most worn by those who came before them. Somewhere on our American journey, Americans have lost sight of having a choice, they just put up with whatever is offered as an explanation to them. I feel relatively certain, this isn't what my kin fought for, it's left to the rest of us, left behind to push back. In one form or another my family, and other American's families, have been fighting for this country, and some of those wars before we were a reconized country. I never read any mention of "Wealth Redistribution" as their inspiration.

Isaac and his younger brother Thomas Newland went to war, and when his older brother was wounded and sent back to an Army Hospital in Adams Co.,Illinois. Thomas proceeded to see their adventure to it's conclusion, this is Thomas' story.

(Excerpt From A History Of Butler County Kansas)
Thomas S Newland, a Civil war veteran and early settler of Butler county, is a native of Ohio. He was born in Logan County, January 18,1842, a son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Ross) Newland, natives of Pennsylvania, who were married in that state, and afterward removed to Logan county, where the father died in 1845. The mother and her children then returned to Pennsylvania, to her old home in Washington county, and in 1850, the mother and her eight children embarked on an Ohio river boat at Wheeling, W.Va., with Illinois as their destination. Mr Newland was a boy about nine years old when the family made the trip, and says he remembers that on the voyage up the river from Quincy, Ill., that the Mississippi was filled with floating ice. After a short stay at Quincy, the family removed to Hancock county, Illinois.

When the Civil war broke out, or to be exact, September 1, 1862, Mr Newland enlisted in Company B, Seventy-eighth regiment, Illinois infantry. His regiment was at first attached to the army of the Cumberland, and later took part in Sherman's march to the sea. Mr Newland participated in many of the important and hard fought battles of the great conflict. He was at the campaign of Atlanta, and after the fall of that place, he was on the expedition through the Carolinas, when the war ended. He was in the Grand Review at Washington, and afterward was sent to Chicago, Ill., where he was discharged and mustered out of service.

In 1871, he came to Butler county, Kansas and filed on a claim in Bruno township, where he remained until 1874, when grasshoppers came and destroyed every green blade of vegetation. Mr Newland made up his mind that from the general apparance of the country after the devastation of these pests, that it was not a good place to live, and he sold his claim and went to California. After working on a ranch there, for three years, he went to Skagit county, Washington, on the banks of the Skagit river, where he pre-empted a claim, which he sold in 1885. He returned to Butler county, and has since made his home in Bruno township.

Mr Newland was married in 1874, to Miss Emma Rison, a native of Kansas, and to this marriage four children were born: C.E. Newland, Alice Newland, Annie Newland, W.H. Newland. The mother of these children died in Washington in the spring of 1885, and the family returned to Kansas in the fallowing fall. In 1892, Mr Newland married Mrs. Margaret Fitzgerald, a widow. She was a daughter of George Snook, a pioneer of Bruno township.

Mr Newland is a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, and the Methodist Episcopal church, and has always been a stanch Republican.

Governor Sarah Palin "The Easiest Way To Win At Tug Of War"

Sarah Palin is resigning as the Governor of Alaska. I know who is going to miss her the most, the left leaning Mainstream Media. Who will they use for a Punching Bag Now? No more PDS, Palin Derangement Syndrome, to try and bolster their lousy ratings, and dismal newspaper subscriptions . When many of her detractors, go on one of their many irrational rants, about the soon to be late Governor of Alaska, they can expect the response to be: So What, and Who Cares? Sarah Palin isn't part of the Government anymore, she will be a private citizen.

Who will the MSM, use to distract the public, from our current Government's failures? The so called stimulus bill. I don't think they can count on well known celebrities to keep dropping dead. They used all the Bush Derangement Syndrome, juice up. Rush Limbaugh resigned as the titular head of the Republican Party. Governor Mark Sanford, who I didn't even consider as a 2012 Presidential hopeful, took himself out of the running. Who is left to target, and blame for our current unemployment rates or at least distract people from the myriad of challenges our Country is facing? This couldn't have happened at a worse time for the left leaning, Obama astroturfing media outlets. This in the middle of the summer doldrums, bad time to lose their favorite whipping girl. If their ratings were not already very low, surely this is going to push them into a cavern. No wonder so many of them are taking parting shots at Governor Sarah Palin, they won't have her to kick around much longer. I FAV Mary Matlin, thinks Sarah Palin is brilliant for resigning, video HERE. The President gets it, but who knows if his message will sink in to his uber left supporters, after all the message isn't sexy or sensational.

The easiest way to win at Tug of War "Let Go Of Your End" the opposition falls back onto their backsides into the mud. The same mud, they love to sling so much.

UPDATE:

Sarah Palin not under FBI investigation, agency spokesman says.

The New Left ,The Seeds Of Cap & Trade

First off the New Left, isn't that new, they came out of the 60s and 70s, they call themselves Progressives today.

The seeds for what we are experiencing today, the so called "Cap & Trade" was planted back in the 60s. Here are some examples of who came out of this movement, like The Uni bomber. His manifesto begins "1. The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race."

Ayers, Dohrn, and the Weathermen

Ayers and Dohrn, now "respectable" radical professors in Chicago, were among the FBI Most Wanted fugitives because of their nefarious activities with the Weather Underground, also known as the Weathermen, during that infantile spasm of radicalism and insanity called the '60s. The Weathermen banded together to undermine this country's ill-conceived war in Vietnam and foment communist revolution in the United States, as well as "destroy the white racist's society and establish a democratic centralist's government," as Bernadine Dohrn said in 1969 at a Weathermen "war council" in Flint, Michigan.

So What is going on today circa 2009 in Flint, Michigan?

Flint sparks change

Posted by Harry Fuller @ 3:17 pm

June 12th, 2009

Flint, Michigan. Infamous in Michael Moore’s doc on dying factory jobs. Infamous as hometown of largest bankrupt corporation in America, General Motors. It’s hereby downgraded to Sergeant Motors. That Flint is changing urban planning in America. Data indicates it has the furthest to go to “redcovery.” But what if quality down-sizing is the real goal? Now Flint’s the main city in Genesee County, Michigan where the Land Bank is taking over foreclosed, sub-standard homes. And the homes are being bull-dozed. Gardens, parks and other projects are replacing them. Historic abandoned buildings are being converted to contemporary use. One hotel had been vacant for nearly forty years. “Compact” is the new urban planning word of the day, not “growth.” Keep Reading Here.
It's not like we weren't warned. Ayn Rand wrote about
"The Return of The Primitive" The Anti Industrialist.

In the tumultuous late 60s and early 70s, a social movement known as the "New Left" emerged as a major cultural influence, especially on the youth of America. It was a movement that embraced "flower-power" and psychedelic "consciousness-expansion," that lionized Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro and launched the Black Panthers and the Theater of the Absurd. In Return Of The Primitive (originally published in 1971 as The New Left), Ayn Rand, bestselling novelist and originator of the theory of Objectivism, identified the intellectual roots of this movement. She urged people to repudiate its mindless nihilism and to uphold, instead, a philosophy of reason, individualism, capitalism, and technological progress. Editor Peter Schwartz, in this new, expanded version of The New Left, has reorganized Rand's essays and added some of his own in order to underscore the continuing relevance of her analysis of that period. He examines such current ideologies as environmentalism and multiculturalism and argues that the same primitive, tribalist, "anti-industrial" mentality which animated the New Left a generation ago is shaping society today.
